Banana Bread Brownies
A very banana forward, fluffy moist dessert with a delicious frosting.

Ingredients
Banana Bread Brownie
- 300 g sugar (1 1/2 cups)
- 250 g sour cream (1 cup)
- 113 g unsalted butter (1 stick or 1/2 cup), at room temperature
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 11 g vanilla extract (2 teaspoons)
- 250 g all-purpose flour (2 cups)
- 6 g baking soda (1 teaspoon)
- 6 g of salt (1 teaspoon)
Frosting
- 113 g unsalted butter (1 stick or 1/2 cup)
- 240 g powdered sugar (2 cups)
- 9 g vanilla extract (1 1/2 teaspoons)
- 46 g of milk (3 tablespoons)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Create a 9 x 13″ baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, mixed together, sugar, sour cream, soft, and butter and eggs. You may use a stand mixer or a hand, electric mixer. Beat until well combined. Add mashed bananas and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- Add the flower baking soda and salt to the batter. Mix until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 30 minutes. Check the readiness of the banana bread brownies, using a toothpick insert into the center. If it comes out clear, the brownies are ready.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- While the brownies are cooling, prepare the frosting. In a sauce, pan, melt butter and heat until a medium brown color. Remove from heat, and add half powdered sugar, stir until combined. Add the rest of the powdered sugar. Mix until combined. Add milk and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly. Pour the frosting over the brownies evenly. Let it all cool completely. Enjoy!
Notes
- Half a cup of chopped walnuts, can be used after adding the flour.
- Very ripe bananas can be frozen and used whenever you'd like
